I have just finished big updates to the Living in New Mexico, 2009 album and to the pictures of Noah and Abby. Since it is now 2010, I started a new album that has pictures from the first three months of the year.
In July we drove up to Denver to pick up Mom and Dad, who were visiting Tom and Ka-Yi, and brought them to Santa Fe. We took them to an opera--The Elixir of Love--at the wonderful Santa Fe Opera and had a nice visit with them.
In August Patricia and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a short trip. We made our
first visit to Mesa Verde in Colorado. We will have to go back. Here is a teaser picture from Mesa Verde.
Tevya and Noah also visited us here in Santa Fe. It was a real treat to see Noah developing. There are pictures from that visit in the Grandchildren album.

The last quarter of 2009 was quiet for us with some notable exceptions. We were able to visit both Tevya and Noah and Kate, Jeff and Abby.
In September we made a trip to Las Vegas for a special occasion: Abby's first birthday. It was truly a celebration. In September Abby could already walk well (clearly a superior granddaughter) and could bend any adult to her will. Here is a picture of Abby at her birthday party.

In mid-November Noah was already a great talker who liked to show off all the things he could do. He wanted to show us his Halloween costume:
We had plenty of winter weather in January. It should not surprise me any
In March we went on our first field trip of the year with the School for Advanced Research. On this trip we went to what now looks like an empty field but was once a large pueblo and to the
studio of potter Felipe Ortega. I got a new camera just before this trip and you will see that I still have work to do to learn how to use it most effectively. This is a picture of a scraper of some sort that I picked up--and put back--at Sapawe'uinge.
